About Gundula Min-Oo
I have 20 years of diverse scientific research experience in both academic and industry settings. My interest lies in using immune modulation strategies to treat chronic infectious and inflammatory diseases. My previous research focus was on the host response to infection; I have investigated the genetic and immunologic aspects of infectious disease, with emphasis on NK cell biology as a postdoctoral fellow in Lewis Lanier\'s lab. I have experience in transitioning basic research into preclinical studies with my work on developing novel anti-malarial therapeutics. I have co-authored 35+ publications. In addition, I have participated in numerous programs to improve science education for K-12 students and motivate young leaders to consider biomedical research careers.
