Project: Enterprise Data Warehouse QA Testing Scope was to validate multiple sources such as database tables, flat files, excel files to Data Warehouse, that was later used for reporting and data analysis purposes. Validated that data was extracted, transformed and loaded correctly according to the Data Mapping Document. Automated ETL comparison of csv flat files to databases using Python and Panda libraries. Responsibilities: Reviewed and analyzed the project artifacts such as Business Requirements and Data Mapping Document; Managed gap analysis and communicated any discrepancies between requirements documents; Selected appropriate testing methods and techniques for ETL and Data Warehouse testing; Executed back-end testing, wrote complex SQL queries to validate the data migration across ETL; Created Test Plans, Test Cases and Requirement Traceability Matrix; Automated ETL comparison of csv flat files to databases using Python and Panda libraries. Assisted in Deployment and Test Data Preparation process, including database backup and restore; Conducted meta-data/table design testing and direct/derived data validation testing; Conducted CDC load type testing; Validated source data files such as excel, csv files using Beyond Compare tool; Reported unexpected behavior in ETL testing as defects, Bugs in Azure DevOps and communicated issues to Developer; Communicated defects reports to Developers, smoke tested, retested and regression tested; Created test deliverables including Test Plan, Test Evidence and Test Summary
