ABOUT GUILLERMO ORTEGA

As an Investment Associate at DSH Hotel Advisors, I specialize in hotel advisory and hotel brokerage, focusing on hospitality assets across South Florida. I have six years of experience dedicated to Hotel Openings, Transitions, and Brand Conversions, supported by more than 20 years in hospitality management operations. This combination allows me to bring a deep understanding of how performance, brand alignment, and market positioning drive asset value. My expertise spans a wide range of properties including franchised hotels, independent assets, and mixed-use developments. I partner with owners, investors, and developers to identify opportunities, evaluate performance, and execute transactions that align with their investment goals. Prior to joining DSH Hotel Advisors, I served as Director of Hotel Openings and Transitions at Highgate, leading multiple new build and brand conversion projects. I also held General Manager roles with both Marriott and Hilton, overseeing successful openings, operations and ownership transitions across the Caribbean and Latin America, including projects in the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Jamaica, Tulum, Trinidad, and Curaçao. In addition, I have over three years of real estate experience specializing in land and mixed-use development in the Miami market. I am passionate about combining my operational and development expertise to deliver strategic, client-focused solutions that create value and build long-term relationships in the hospitality investment space.
