ABOUT GUILLAUME PECORARO
I am currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Financial Engineering at HEC Montréal. I am passionate about quantitative finance, and particularly drawn to the optimization of complex financial problems. I enjoy applying my analytical mindset to design rigorous and efficient solutions, whether it involves portfolio management, risk modeling, derivatives pricing, or capital markets analysis. My long-term goal is to build a career in the financial industry, where I can leverage data-driven insights and financial modeling to serve both individuals and institutions, contributing to informed, innovative, and impactful investment strategies.I\'m also an Economic Analyst in the Asset Allocation team at the Banque Nationale Investissements–HEC Fund, covering EAFE developed markets. I contribute to strategic (80%) and tactical (20%) allocation decisions by analyzing macroeconomic indicators and translating them into portfolio positioning and risk implications. My role includes producing data-driven reports for the investment committee, and monitoring market developments to support allocation adjustments within a multi-asset portfolio.Sports and travel have always been a central part of my life. I have practiced a variety of disciplines and traveled extensively. Which motivated me to leave my country at 18 to live abroad, giving me early exposure to international environments. These experiences opened my eyes to many different cultures. That\'s why I chose to do my exchange programme in Singapore, to immerse myself in the local culture rather than just observe it. I also wanted to live in a major global financial centre to gain experience and a deeper understanding of the dynamics of international finance.
