   As a Surgical Medical Science Liaison at Alcon, I serve as a scientific and strategic link between the company and the ophthalmic community, supporting the advancement and adoption of Alcon’s surgical technologies through clinical evidence, medical education, and expert engagement.In this field-based role, I foster peer-to-peer relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), eye care professionals (ECPs), and academic researchers to facilitate scientific exchange and generate insights that guide Alcon’s medical strategy. I provide accurate, balanced, and timely medical information on Alcon’s products, research, and clinical data, ensuring that healthcare professionals are equipped with the latest evidence to optimize patient outcomes.I also support and manage Investigator Initiated Trials (IITs) by liaising between investigators and Alcon throughout the process—from concept development and grant approval to study execution and publication. Through these collaborations, I help expand the body of clinical evidence supporting Alcon’s portfolio and strengthen relationships within the ophthalmic research community.In alignment with Alcon’s mission to help people see brilliantly, I deliver scientific presentations, lead discussions at congresses and educational events, and provide on-site medical support for training programs. I regularly gather and communicate field insights that inform cross-functional partners in Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, and Marketing, contributing to evidence-based decisions that drive innovation and improve patient care.
