I help bring political and global conversations from Face the Nation with Margaret Brennan to social media for CBS News. My job is to find those powerful, newsworthy moments and quickly turn them into engaging videos and posts for Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, and YouTube. I use my editorial judgment to tailor the content for each platform, write concise copy, and contribute daily to the broader content strategy for the main CBS News accounts.My professional foundation was built right in the middle of breaking news in the nation\'s capital: running nightly assignment desk operations and creating daily content at WJLA-TV as a Multiplatform Content Producer. Before that, I gained hands-on editorial and production experience in media leadership roles at the University of Texas at Austin, like helping manage the merger of two university publications and hosting a podcast on about music and artist mental health. I was also an Editorial Fellow at Spectrum News where I interned part-time my senior year fulfilling the responsibilities of a Broadcast Producer, Digital/Web Producer, and Multimedia Journalist for 10 weeks in each role. This background has given me a proven capacity to quickly learn new skills and platforms in a constantly changing media landscape. As a bilingual journalist, I produce and engage with content in English and Spanish to reach more audiences.
