ABOUT GUEDY ARNIELLA
Guedy Arniella is a clinical social worker and psychotherapist with extensive experience working in East and Central Harlem and the South Bronx. She is the director of Community Health and Outreach and a member of the faculty of the Harlem Residency in Family Medicine at the Institute for Family Health, a Federally Qualified Health Care Organization with 26 sites in Manhattan, the Bronx and in the Hudson Valley. Ms. Arniella is a Master Trainer in the CDC’s National Diabetes Prevention Program and a T-Trainer in the Stanford University Chronic Disease and Diabetes Self-Management Programs. She has worked in research as a co-principal investigator over the past 12 years on various Community Based Participatory Research NIH and CDC grants including developing a diabetes prevention curriculum and a prevention of recurrent stroke program. Her work has been focused on addressing the health disparities that exist in underserved communities and improving the health of these communities. She has a MS degree in social work from Columbia University.
