I am a urological surgeon and MedTech innovator passionate about advancing care for patients with prostate cancer and other urologic conditions. With extensive experience in clinical practice, research leadership, and technology development, I bring a unique perspective that bridges medicine, engineering, and entrepreneurship. As Founder of ThorMed Innovation LLC, I lead efforts to develop technologies that improve patient safety and streamline clinical workflows. Our recent achievement—a NIH STTR Phase I award for the development of a Non-Invasive Urine Output Monitor—underscores our commitment to solving real-world challenges in perioperative and critical care.I serve as Affiliate Faculty in the Department of Surgery and Perioperative Care at UT Austin and Adjunct Assistant Professor in Bioengineering at UT Dallas, where I mentor future innovators and collaborate on translational research. Previously, I oversaw strategic development and expansion of the Department of Clinical Research at Urology Clinics of North Texas (UCNT), where I continue to serve as a partner and principal investigator, driving clinical excellence and innovation. My work spans medical device development, clinical trial leadership, and data-driven healthcare solutions. In addition to healthcare, I have directed multidisciplinary engineering initiatives across mechanical and ocean systems, emphasizing efficiency, resilience, and sustainable design.
