ABOUT GLEN PASCOE

I am an engineering leader and innovator at the forefront of sustainable technology and electrification, most recently serving as Chief Engineer – Technology & Innovation at Fortescue Zero. In this role, I oversaw R&D programmes, managed the budget and coordinated multidisciplinary teams across the UK, USA, and Australia. I drive technology initiatives from concept to delivery, champion a culture of innovation, and engage with government, industry partners, and stakeholders to ensure scalable, high-impact solutions.Bringing over 20 years of industrial experience spanning motorsport, automotive, and advanced manufacturing, I apply the discipline, speed, and precision of high-performance engineering to broader industries. My career journey has combined hands-on design, project management, and R&D with leadership of diverse engineering teams, enabling me to turn complex challenges into commercially viable, technically robust solutions. I am passionate about helping technology-driven businesses grow, developing teams of high-performing engineers, and translating innovative concepts into sustainable, operational reality.I hold a Master’s in Design and Innovation for Sustainability (Cranfield University) and a First Class BEng in Automotive Engineering (Oxford Brookes University). Across my career, I have led the delivery of advanced electrification systems for Formula E, Extreme E, and mass-transit flywheel projects; recruited and developed engineering teams of around 20 staff; secured over £1m in grant funding; and contributed to multiple patent filings and sustainability initiatives. I am a frequent speaker at industry conferences, a STEM mentor, and an advocate for integrating technical excellence, design thinking, and operational discipline to deliver breakthrough technologies efficiently and reliably.
