Founded in 2019, the Pa Karim (PK) Memorial Foundation is a US and Sierra Leone-based nonprofit dedicated to transforming education in Sierra Leone\'s remote villages. Our mission is to unlock the potential of youth by providing access to quality education, igniting their dreams, and opening doors to opportunities for a brighter tomorrow.Vision:We envision a future where all generations in Sierra Leone have access to quality education, enabling them to achieve their full potential and inspiring hope for a prosperous future. Through our initiatives, we empower individuals to contribute meaningfully to the growth and prosperity of their villages, communities, and the nation.Values- Access: Ensuring the availability, affordability, and inclusivity of quality education for all, particularly in remote areas- Opportunity: Providing prospects for youth to pursue their dreams and improve their lives through education- Hope: Fostering optimism and motivation, encouraging belief in a brighter future- Empowerment: Equipping individuals with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to take control of their lives and contribute to their communities.Goals:1. Education Centers: Establish centers in remote villages, like the Mabgaikoli village, where the PK Memorial Primary School is located, in partnership with local communities and global organizations.2. Sponsorship Programs: Sponsor students and teachers to ensure continued education and support, creating pathways for higher education and international opportunities.3. Awareness Campaigns: Raise awareness about the educational needs in Sierra Leone through comprehensive marketing and communication strategies, engaging diverse audiences to support our cause.Join us in creating lasting change and inspiring hope through education. I am honored to step into the role of Entrepreneurship and Innovation Director at Omaha 100, reporting directly to our President & CEO.For over 35 years, Omaha 100 has been a trusted CDFI, expanding access to capital and opening doors to homeownership and entrepreneurship in underserved communities. In this next chapter, I am dedicated to advancing our mission through- Expanding Access to Capital: Leading Omaha 100’s business loan origination and deployment, ensuring small business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs have the financial resources to realize their vision and thrive- Forging Strategic Partnerships: Cultivating relationships with banks, developers, community leaders, and public/private partners to create a robust support system for entrepreneurs across Nebraska- Accelerating Innovation & Program Development: Designing and upgrading business support programs, modernizing loan processes, and enhancing technical assistance to address the evolving needs of today’s entrepreneur- Championing Community Impact: Acting as a visible connector and advocate throughout Nebraska’s entrepreneurial ecosystem—placing equity, opportunity, and empowerment at the center of all we do.This role is more than operational leadership—it is about architecting systems of opportunity that can transform lives and revitalize communities.
