As an admissions team member of the only Crisis Stabilization Unit in Colorado for this age group, I work to bring children and adolescents going through a behavioral or mental health crisis into appropriate treatment. In this role, I complete a full intake of our clients in a timely fashion, which includes conducting an initial screening, assessing for clinical fit, and setting up ongoing treatment plans and services upon program discharge. Within this role, I advocate for clients and their families so they can meet the financial and logistical challenges of obtaining mental health care, ensuring we do not turn away anyone who would benefit from our treatment.
