Hi! My name is Gretta Gouge, and I am a motivated sophomore at the University of Alabama earning a degree in business and marketing with a minor in international business! Throughout the past year, I have had the opportunity to take many courses and join clubs and organizations that have furthered my interests in the degrees I aspire to obtain. Last summer, I had the opportunity to intern with Stellar Industries in the Marketing and Sales department, where I was able to gain experience in the processes of these departments and gain skills that I will continue to use throughout the remainder of my academic and professional career. I hope to continue learning and growing both personally and professionally and obtain internships and jobs that aid me in finding my future career in the business industry.

   During my marketing internship at Stellar Industries, I gain hands-on experience across a wide range of marketing functions. I learn about digital marketing strategies, including how to create content for web and social media platforms that effectively communicates brand messaging. I also assist in video marketing projects, helping to plan and develop video content that highlights Stellar’s products and company culture.Another part of my role involves designing promotional materials, such as fliers and internal communications, to support employee engagement initiatives. I collect and analyze marketing data to track engagement trends and evaluate announcement effectiveness, which gives me valuable insight into data-driven decision-making.In addition to marketing, I am introduced to both inside and outside sales processes. I learn from team members how Stellar builds and maintains relationships with distributors and end users. A highlight of my internship is the opportunity to meet with customers, where I observe how product knowledge, communication, and trust play key roles in successful sales.Overall, this internship provides me with a well-rounded experience in both marketing and sales, and helps me build practical skills that I carry into my future career.
