   High Country News

   Jul 2022 — Present

   The Executive Editor is a member of the High Country News senior management team, a key leader on the editorial staff, and a liaison with the marketing department. They work hand-in-hand with the Editor-in-Chief, the Art Director and the Director of Product and Marketing. They oversee and orchestrate the editorial workflow for all HCN stories, on all platforms, and bear editorial responsibility for HCN’s newsletters and social media channels. The Executive Editor also oversees and manages HCN’s intern and fellow program, ensuring a positive, challenging, and nurturing experience for early career journalists. Additionally, they help lead the magazine in the absence of the Editor-in-Chief.
