WORK HISTORY
Co-founder @Lone Fir Fitness
Portland, OR, US
I took over and revitalized a 6,500 sq ft independent gym in Portland, reviving a beloved community space that was facing permanent closure due to the pandemic. After a few year away from entrepreneurship, it has been rewarding to step back into leadership alongside an amazing cross-functional team that has grown to 20 including trainers, nutritionists, massage therapists, yoga and pilates instructors. Through this work and my own health journey, I’ve seen firsthand how strength training, movement, connection, and education can help us regain agency over our bodies and long-term health. We now have a well-rounded program of personal training, group fitness, yoga, pilates, nutrition, massage, and events. With our diverse offering, Lone Fir Fitness is committed to quality of life through movement and in-person experience. Our growth reflects a broader story of Portland\'s revival after the pandemic. By partnering with local businesses and neighbors we\'re building more than a gym. We\'re rebuilding the Kerns neighborhood village.(learn more about local initiatives at )

SKILLS
ABOUT GRETA BRADFORD
Hailing from Portland, I moved to Beijing in high-school and built a career of over 12 years working in high-growth industries including sports marketing, health, and tech as a project manager, entrepreneur and strategic communicator. Now back stateside, I took over and revitalized a 6,500 sq ft independent gym in Portland, reviving a beloved community space that was facing permanent closure due to the pandemic. My professional career in China focused on helping top-tier global brands like Starbucks, Nestlé, Volkswagen, Bayer, British Airways, Oakley and BMW communicate with audiences in China, and assisting fast-growing Chinese tech firms like Tencent, Meituan, Baidu and Lenovo do the same with international stakeholders. With deep experience in communicating, advertising, events, and storytelling, I’m passionate about cross-cultural projects that connect China and the West. In 2016 I founded China’s first creative video agency focused on tech clients, and acted as managing director building the firm for 4+ years. As a producer and manager, I was the bridge between our creative team and clients, finding the meeting point for client needs, creative ideas, all within achievable production parameters. Our advantage competing against larger firms was the care and attention we dedicated to our clients. In 2020 I stepped back from my role at Relay, leaving it in the capable hands of my cofounder and team, and joined ICR’s Asia practice as the Vice President of PR. At ICR I continued my career mission to help companies in China and Asia communicate with the world. I guided my clients in long-term PR and strategic communications campaigns, including preparing and copywriting polished external-facing materials, advising C-suite executives for interviews, and providing rapid and measured guidance to navigate the increasingly complicated landscape. After relocating back to the U.S, when my beloved gym in Portland was facing closure, I stepped in and took over the large and multi-purpose space, renaming it Lone Fir Fitness in memory of the nearly Chinese Americans buried in the neighboring Lone Fir Cemetery who helped build this city. Now a team of 20 employees, we offer personal training, group fitness, yoga, pilates, nutrition, massage, and events. Lone Fir Fitness and our neighborhood of Kerns reflects a broader story of Portland\'s revival after the pandemic. Learn more about local initiatives at
