ABOUT GRETA MAIELLARO
Legal professional with a strong focus on Family Law, Child Protection, and Human Rights. With a background in Law from the University of Milan (LL.B.+ LL.M.) and further specialization in European Private Law at the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens, I bring an interdisciplinary and international approach to legal issues affecting families and children. My thesis at NKUA focused on the legal challenges of the recognition of “kafalah” (Islamic foster care) in Europe and in the domestic jurisprudence of European countries. I’ve studied and conducted research across Europe - in Madrid, Paris, and Barcelona - deepening my expertise in gender studies, bioethics, and the societal impact of law. My thesis explored the legal and political debate on pornography in Italy and Spain from a comparative and ethical perspective. Currently based in Milan, I am training as a family mediator and looking for professional opportunities in legal practice, family and gender policy, and human rights advocacy.
