From engineering to marketing, operations and project management working on the latest launches to improve the experience of the millions of users that utilise Depop to declutter their wardrobes, fund their passions and help Depop fulfil its mission of changing the way fashion is consumed. The user and customer are the bedrock of any platform. Understanding their needs and wants, their habits and their goals is key to delivering a product that breeds engagement, inspires aspiration and creates a community. I’ve spent the last three years diving deep into the amazing community that the Depop platform created and have used this relationship to inform decision making, drive change and improve service.Management of peers and projects has been something that I’ve thrived upon since I began working my very first job in retail, taking ownership and coordinating be it within a small group or vast team is skill that requires commitment, communication, organisation and the ability to be agile and reactive to change while being willing and able to make critical decisions.
