About Greg D.

Designer, technologist and creator. Those are the words that describe me best and define everything I do in my everyday. Also add in leader, systems level thinker and willing translator of tech vernacular.I have worked for many years in User Experience design, graphic design, web development and all things related. In the course of that I have developed and led a team of talented Creative Technologists, developed several design systems using forward-thinking tech and design approaches, overseen the company wide adoption of a design token system, created and managed an internal set of tooling to facilitate faster development and hosting of code. We also created and operated many internal user research tests as well as facilitated classroom testing of new educational resources through a custom software harness.I am a true believer in universal design principles. Everything I build and design is fully accessible, and not just to the extent that I meet the guidelines, but to the extent that it is truly pleasing to ALL users. I have coded accessible interfaces, designed accessible interfaces and run usability tests for and with differently abled users.In addition to that, I have experience working with an internal VC team vetting possible candidates for investment. I have participated in the due diligence side of acquisitions and have experience with corporate finance practices and all things related to operating a team in a global, corporate environment.I am also an adept navigator of corporate politics and government relations. With experiences across many different situations and groups, including working for a tax funded organization and then working in a large global organization with stakeholders all over the world and a matrixed org, I have learned to work with everyone I have to in order to get the job done.
