ABOUT GREGORY LEET

Retired after 30+ years in the advancement profession. Occasionally still providing consulting services or recommendations to help advancement professionals and their organizations achieve fundraising performance excellence. In my previous role as Senior Search Consultant at Aspen Leadership Group for six years, I successfully recruited development professionals into dozens of rewarding and high impact rodes across all of the the nonprofit sector. Before joining ALG, I was Vice President for Advancement at The Jackson Laboratory, one of the world\'s leading nonprofit genomic medical research institutes. In that role, I collaborated with executive team colleagues to lead JAX\'s fundraising, strategic communications, and trustee relations. Prior to JAX, I served as Vice Chancellor of University Advancement for the University of California, Irvine, leading all development and government and community relations programs, including the UCI Medical Center and Chao Comprehensive Cancer Center. With the help of amazing trustees, alumni, volunteers and university leadership, we secured UCI\'s then largest gift ever of $40 million for a new school of nursing. While Vice President of Development at Arizona State University Foundation, I oversaw all frontline development teams for a then-planned $1.3B campaign. I also collaborated deeply on ASU’s rebranding initiative to be a \"New American Univerisity\", and helped lead an innovative prospect management program. Both projects won national awards from the Council for Advancement & Support of Education (CASE). During my 12-year tenure at Creighton University, I held several major gifts roles. As the inaugural director of principal gifts, we secured a $50 million outright gift, the largest in Creighton’s history. In 2007, Creighton received the CASE Circle of Excellence Award as a national top 30 development program. Prior to Creighton, I was the Library Campaign Director at Kansas State University. As an undergraduate at K-State, I was the student coordinator for the university’s very first annual phonathon and recruited its all-volunteer undergraduate student callers.
