As the Director of Emergency Management (Appointed under ORS 402) I am the lead in facilitating the counties entire emergency management program including planning, training, exercise, response, grants management, volunteers, and program enhancement. This position also includes the maintenance and development of policies and procedures, a county-wide emergency operations center, budget management, contracts management through RFPs, selection, and project management.A key responsibility includes networking and liaising between key partners and stakeholders including community groups, tasks forces, and political groups as related to emergency management internal to the county and externally across Oregon.During day to day operations I supervise three positions within the office this includes hiring, conducting evaluations, coaching, training, general guidance and leadership. During response conditions I am the appointed lead of the EOC managing a fully staffed county program that may be upwards of 30 people across a complex variety of functions within the incident command systems.
