ABOUT GREGORY UGBIYOBO

An accomplished leader within IT, with over a decade experience in aligning IT strategies with business objectives and managing multi-million-dollar security programmes, consistently delivering cost effective security and privacy solutions in diverse industries and sectors. A pragmatic communicator who negotiates and influences strategic decisions and establishes collaborative relationships with diverse stakeholder groups & C-suite executives. My experience & expertise cut across multiple geographies with specialisation in Data Privacy, Cyber Security, Risk Management, Regulatory Compliance, Ops Resilience, Identity & Access Management, Threat, Vulnerabilities & Mitigation, Security Architecture, Security Programme Management & Oversight & Information Assurance. I am adept at developing effective security solutions, building high performance teams, evaluating & assessing privacy & security maturity, cyber preparedness and identifying & mitigating future security & privacy risk exposures. My notable roles include Global Cybersecurity Lead for HSBC’s $1.7bn Cyber Security Maturity Programme and Senior Data Privacy Consultant at Bupa Group, where I developed and implemented the Information Governance Toolkit Bupa-wide, standardising information risk monitoring, and providing a methodology for demonstrating continuous improvement. I have also held senior positions in SERCO Group, the Institute of Cancer Research UK and multiple positions in the NHS, including Head of Information Governance & Security at Croydon University Hospital, UK. I am very passionate about sharing my vast knowledge & expertise as a public speaker, board advisor and through mentoring and coaching.
