ABOUT GREG SINCLAIR
Phys. Ed. Teacher, turned Beer Rep, turned Sales and Marketing Manager for an OHL Hockey Team, turned Finance Executive. I am a competitive, driven, goal oriented leader, who thrives in a team environment. I took a non-traditional route to the business world. My first career was as an educator, teaching in the United Kingdom and in Ontario. This teaching background allows me to lead people effectively, while fostering an environment of collaboration and learning. Once I decided to make the transition to the business world, I landed a role with a local Brewery in my hometown (Peterborough, ON). From there, the next three years were a whirl wind of new experiences and learning. I was able apply my people skills, work ethic, and competitiveness, leading to success in every role I held there. For example, increasing license key account sales, and leading a quantitative strategy that saw The Beer Store and Grocery Store channels becoming the fastest growing revenue streams for the brewery.I then achieved my original goal when I left teaching, work in the sports industry. I was hired as the Manager, Sales & Marketing for the Peterborough Petes. Where I utilized all the skills that I have developed over the past 3 years at the brewery, as well as learning many new lessons and best practices, allowing me to analytically assess growth opportunities, and identify new marketing strategies allowing me to increase partnership revenue by 33% in just two seasons. With COVID-19 impacting the sports world it enabled me to pivot to finance. This pivot allowed me to leverage my leadership, sales, analytics and operational skills built throughout my career to successfully transition into my new role. Starting in Operations I quickly took over the sales teams and my role continued to expand over my time. Leveraging opertional efficiencies, combining analytics and strategy, and strong plan execution. We achieved successive years of exceeded targets on all teams. This led to me stepping into the COO role in January 2023. Where we have had continued success, with a focus on strategy creation, plan implementation, and execution of tasks across the company. Building a structure that cements a strong culture at Magenta. Feel free to reachout, looking forward to connecting.
