I have had the privilege of working as a Technical Writer / Technical Editor in the oil and gas and IT industries for the last 18 years.My experience in the oil and gas industry as a Senior Technical Writer includes supporting Management of Change for 10 years, with particular adherence to PHMSA compliance requirements and compliance-related company policies. Most recently, my experience in the IT industry as a Principal Technical Editor and Senior Quality Analyst includes managing sprint efforts within an Agile framework, authoring a suite of software user manuals, style guides, standard operating procedures, process documents, process flow diagrams, release notes, statements of work, service level agreements, IT security assessment audit reviews, production readiness reviews, and ServiceNow knowledge articles. This was work done in collaborative development efforts on multiple projects, assessing the impact of developed documentation to related functional areas, and ensuring documentation standards were followed for Federal Contract Task Orders, Technology Shared Services Business Operations, Internal Networks, and Change Management.My experience as a Senior Business Process Analyst in the IT industry includes initiating a process to request proprietary data from multiple sources, leading compliance reviews for successful regulatory audits, and developing SharePoint repositories to accurately catalogue artifacts in support of successful Amazon Web Services (AWS) audits, analyzing data and performing data crosswalks, and creating workflow tools in SharePoint and Excel for project management and continuous improvement.I understand how important clear, accurate, and well-researched documentation is to supporting business operations and its customers, while aligning with company standards and meeting the goals of the customer, stakeholders, and management.
