Oversee colleagues and processes related to GL and Commercial Auto coverage analysis, investigation, evaluation, reserving and resolution of auto/transportation and general liability claims in accordance with the company’s Global Claims Handling Principles, service standards and applicable governmental regulations. This will include bodily injury, property damage, and commercial auto claims and litigation, and other related exposures. • Collaborate with our internal Claims Legal unit in the handling and resolution of the claim files involving complex coverage issues and/or coverage litigation.• Manage audits and ensure Financial Internal Controls (FIC) compliance across the team. Drive analytics and data development for Underwriting and Actuarial through identification and reporting on Casualty claim trends.• Collaborate with Underwriting teams in connection with claim issues and trends, lessons learned, and marketing and business development activities.• Provide superior customer service to policyholders and brokers, and ensure the same high customer service standards are upheld by all colleagues.• Partner and collaborate with team members, along with both internal and external counsel, to manage litigation in an effective and cost-efficient manner.• Identify strategic and tactical needs that can be solved through technology, process improvements, or training. Maintain close supervision of vendor management and expense control within the unit. • Focus on each team member’s performance, development and success.
