About Gregory Roberts
Greg Roberts is currently a postdoctoral fellow at NYU Langone, working on designing free space optic and photonic devices for biomedical imaging applications. He recently finished his PhD at California Institute of Technology in applied physics specializing in optical metasurfaces. His research focuses on designing, fabricating, and measuring complex scattering devices that can improve color imaging efficiency in modern cameras and realize new types of imaging technology. Before graduate school, Greg received his BS in electrical engineering and computer science from University of California - Berkeley. Directly following undergraduate, Greg worked for an augmented reality startup, Magic Leap, as a software engineer. During his time there, he optimized computer vision and deep learning algorithms on an embedded processor at video frame rates.
