About Gregory P. McNerney

Undergraduate : Earned a degree in Optical Science and Engineering in 2005. My undergraduate internship used X-ray and vibrational spectroscopy to study metalloenzymes at UC Davis, SPring-8, LBNL, and Argonne National Labs. Side projects included developing the team\'s website in HTML/SQL. Other skills included C, C++, Perl, PHP, Matlab, LabView, and Zemax. Graduate Studies : From 20••••11, I built and maintained numerous optical systems (CARS microscope, interferometers, spatial light modulated optical tweezers integrated with a BSL2 spinning disk confocal microscope, Raman tweezers, and structured illumination microscope) to study biological systems (HIV-1 transmission, ECHO-1 virus endocytosis, liver sinusoidal endothelial cell function, ESC cardiac myocytes Ca2+ waves, and prostate cancer markers). Other skills included Python, Volocity, ImageJ, and FIJI. Intel Corporation : My first position in 2011 was as a Senior Process Engineer and tool owner in chemical wet etch. In 2014 I moved to plasma dry etch, and in 2018, I moved to interconnect Integration where I was promoted to group leader in 2019. Since then, I have been a group leader in interconnect, silicon transistor, and GaN integration throughout all phases of development (pathfinding, foundry, and high-volume manufacturing). Active skills include JMP/JSL, project management, technician & engineering management, cultural leadership, hiring, and process development.
