About Gregory Mullenholz
Greg Mullenholz is currently serving as a Director of School Support and Improvement (OSSI) in MCPS. Previously, Mr. Mullenholz was the principal of Ashburton Elementary School in Bethesda, MD. Prior to the principalship, Mr. Mullenholz was the principal intern at Maryvale Elementary School (Rockville, MD) in the Montgomery County Public School System, where he also served as the Assistant Principal. Prior to his work in school administration, Mr. Mullenholz was the Math Content Coach at Greencastle Elementary in Silver Spring, MD. During his tenure at Greencastle, he was selected as a 2013 Hope Street Group National Teacher Fellow and as a 2013 LearnZillion Dream Team Teacher. During the 20••••12 school year, he took a one-year sabbatical from MCPS to join the U.S. Department of Education as a Washington Teaching Ambassador Fellow. One of only five teachers from across the country selected for the Fellowship, Mr. Mullenholz worked in the Office of the Secretary providing technical assistance to state-level Race to the Top Grantees in the areas of Teacher & Leader Evaluation and Standards & Assessments. From 20••••11, Mr. Mullenholz was a fifth grade teacher and then the Staff Development teacher at Twinbrook Elementary in Rockville. He has a Master’s degree in Educational Administration and Supervision from Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Mount Saint Mary’s University in Emmitsburg, MD. Mr. Mullenholz was inducted into the Mount Saint Mary\'s University Alumni Hall of Fame in March of 2018 for his contributions to the field of education. He is also an adjunct professor and sits on the university\'s School of Education Alumni Council.
