Experience
Associate Director, Efficacy and Implementation Research
May 2024 — Present
In this role I get to lead and collaborate on efficacy research that tells the story of how education products can improve education for students, classrooms, and communities. This means I focus on designing and conducting complex (e.g, mixed-method, quasi-experimental) implementation and efficacy studies with a team of researchers. The team provides deep technical expertise on research design, analysis, and interpretation specifically for Curriculum Associates mathematic related products to increase internal and external understanding of product use, fidelity of implementation, and provide insight necessary to improve outcomes. Our team manages multiple large and high-profile research initiatives, including making recommendations about choice of method or model based on research question to be answered, and overseeing data collection and implementation of methods/models by other researchers leading to increased efficiency in research delivery. We work with large and complex databases from multiple sources providing technical guidance to other researchers, as well as collaborating with various teams at Curriculum Associates, the Associate Vice President of the Research Strategy team, and other senior leaders to determine the annual research priorities for efficacy and implementation. We also present research findings in a variety of internal and external settings, for a variety of audiences including teachers, internal sales, and external thought leaders.
