Employing experience with cell culture and cell banking, LIMS and other electronic/computer systems to transition cell bank metadata and operations to anintegrated LIMS in Benchling:* Designed hierarchical data model for cell line entities and entity metadata from ontology down to individual vials.* Specified Benchling Workflows and Requests for running cell bank operations including intake and distribution, and spearheaded implementation.* Developed processes and procedures for cell line intake, expansion and distribution.* Drove implementation and integration of new processes and technologies, including automated LN2 storage, inventory audits, vial barcoding and more.* Designed scientist-facing inventory tools using Dashboards in Benchling.* Wrote and presented SOPs, informational and training materials for scientists explaining cell bank systems and how to use them.* Fulfilled vial requests and performed cell culture to expand cell line materials for storage and distribution.* Shipped samples for QC testing, and investigated and implemented new QC regimens such as NGS SNP testing.
