About Gregory Castel

Underneath the roof of two loving immigrant parents in New Jersey and Florida, I was raised with the freedom and encouragement to pursue any and all my aspirations. As a first-generation Haitian-American child, I discovered the worlds built by Walter Wick, Dr. Seuss, and R.L. Stine. As a kid, I decided early on that I wanted to be someone who created in a way that would invigorate someone\'s imagination the way that aforementioned did for me. Back then, I would always say I wanted two things – an author and an illustrator.In high school, I transitioned into wanting to be a creative writer and photographer. I went on to join my school\'s yearbook team and it was there that I was led to journalism. I attended Liberty University and studied Journalism and minored in Photography. There, I educationally and experientially crafted my knowledge. I involved myself in extra-curricular media work, created print media, and wrote for the university\'s weekly paper. Meanwhile, I developed more of an eye for creative photography. Those formative years, I became a true creative that found little ways to move my imagination into fruition.Once I graduated with my Bachelors of Science, I jumped into the game by getting some written work out into the digital sphere, interning at The Bold Opinion and Dash Radio. Soon after, I\'ve contributed and have freelance written for a multitude of platforms - Kazi Magazine, Hollywood.com, OnestoWatch and most notably, EARMILK. Though my time freelancing for these blogs and sites, I learned interpersonal communicative skills with publicists, crafting opinion pieces, and interviewing talent. My experiences have led me to red carpets and in the face of high-profile artists and celebrities. All the while, I have been carrying my professional camera around, creating photo content & growing as a content creator. My photography has been published on brands like Esquire, Genius, and Global Grind. Today, I am seeking an intermediate position with a team where I can continue to work collaboratively and grow with other driven creatives. One of my lifelong mottos have always been to live in light and share it wherever I go. I want to spread light!
