I am the newest Trustee for the Santa Cruz County Board of Education, representing Trustee Area 3 covering Santa Cruz Westside, Harvey West, UCSC, Bonny Doon, North Coast, Felton and nearby unincorporated areas. The district-elected County Board of Education works with the directly-elected Superintendent to set policy, approve the budget, oversee public charter schools, hear school district appeals, and champion quality education for all our kids, including special, alternative, and career technical education, as well as for other populations not served by traditional local schools.My term of office is from December 2024 to December 2028
