What I enjoy- Meeting and working closely with Builders of all types; especially Founders- Structuring startup + corporate collaborations which are not easy to get right- Seeing users \"light up\" when the right tech for the right situation fits, saving time and friction in her/his day, or simply makes life better- Avoiding complacent people and cultures; working with those who like challenges and embrace them even if difficult or slightly uncomfortable- Working on global opportunities and teaming as fluently outside the U.S. as within- Keeping humble to continuously learn and discover. This broad Built world domain, and this SF Bay Area (and many others) are filled with talented people with many specialties who continue to teach and inspire me. Once you think you understand a certain domain, it continues to go deeper- Giving back through sustained volunteer work in San Francisco. I serve with Upwardly Global, an NGO I met over a decade ago and enthusiastically support- Long-distance running, traveling, reading history, dog walking in the Marin Headlands, keeping up with my favorite podcasts incl.
