Construction executive and CEO with 20+ years of experience building, scaling, and leading specialty contracting organizations through growth, complexity, and change.I currently serve as Chief Executive Officer of S&Y Group, Inc, the parent company of our core and legacy operating business, Swanson & Youngdale, Inc. Our focus is on building enduring companies in the specialty construction industry while setting a higher standard for operational excellence, leadership development, and long-term value creation.S&Y Group is a 100% employee-owned (ESOP) organization. A central part of my role is stewarding that ownership culture and working closely with our Board and leadership team to align strategy, execution, and incentives so our employee-owners directly benefit from the performance of the business. Over the past 10+ years, I’ve helped guide the organization through multiple phases of growth, leadership evolution, and operational maturity, strengthening governance, financial discipline, and accountability.My leadership approach sits at the intersection of operations, finance, and people. I’ve led operational transformations, implemented scalable systems, and built leadership teams capable of executing at a high level. The consistent focus has been building durable platforms, not just winning projects.After completing my service as an Aviation Operations Officer in the U.S. Army, I entered the construction industry through the APi Group Leadership Development Program, rotating through multiple operating companies and gaining hands-on exposure to field operations, project execution, and business leadership.I later served as Director of Operations and Controller at Doody Mechanical, where I led accounting system implementations and operational improvements that delivered meaningful cost savings and improved financial visibility.I went on to become President of Modulus MEP, leading what was essentially a startup venture focused on pushing the envelope of off-site manufacturing. We challenged traditional delivery models through integrated, multi-trade modular systems, requiring true business-building leadership and change management.I’m passionate about building high-performing teams, developing leaders, and creating organizations that are built to last.
