Plans, coordinates, and administers a comprehensive insurance and alternative risk financing program for the system. Provides financial and operational management of the HPH corporate captive as President of Providers Insurance Corporation (PIC). Oversees the claims function of PIC. Coordinates securing of risk financing from outside reinsurance markets for lines of enterprise risk coverage beyond the scope of PIC. Supervises and coordinates the provision of risk management services at HPH facilities, clinics, and with the HPH Medical Group. Collaborates with corporate and facility leadership, medical staff, Patient Safety/Quality, and other leaders in development of systems and infrastructure with the objective of improving quality, creating a pervasive culture of safety, and minimizing loss to the organization. Facilitates system and facility identification and collection of incident trending indicators in order to improve quality of care, reduce risk to patients and visitors, and prevent potentially compensable events.
