I didn’t grow up thinking the YMCA was a place for me. For too long, it felt like a space I could see, but not truly enter. That experience helped shape a lot about how I lead today.Now, I’m building the kind of Y I wish I had access to as a kid, one where every person, regardless of background, feels seen, welcomed, and empowered to lead.As Vice President of Human Resources in a mission-driven nonprofit, I lead with a clear purpose: to lead efforts to ensure our Ys are for all.From reimagining onboarding and equitable compensation to building leadership pipelines and launching national mentoring initiatives, my focus is on creating a people-centered culture rooted in equity, belonging, and trust.My leadership is grounded in lived experience, strategy, and an unwavering belief in what’s possible when we invest in people. Whether I’m developing workforce strategy, guiding culture change, or working alongside national YMCA partners to elevate emerging leaders, I bring the same core commitment: to ensure the Y is not only open to everyone, but built for everyone to thrive
