Hey folks, I’m Gregg.I’m a community-minded leader who’s spent the last decade bringing people together to move good ideas forward — building trust between neighbors and developers, supporting small community organizations, strengthening corridor identities, and helping people see what’s possible in the places they call home.My work has spanned housing, healthcare, neighborhood development, fundraising, and creative strategy — always with the same throughline: make communities more connected, more joyful, and more resilient.I’ve had the privilege of leading grassroots projects, reimagining brand and corridor identities, securing record-breaking fundraising, guiding teams through moments of tension, and helping organizations tell their story in a way that resonates. I’m proud to have been recognized with honors like Crain’s Grand Rapids 40 Under 40 (2024) and YNPN’s Good to Great Leadership Award (2023), but the real credit goes to the people and neighborhoods I’ve been lucky enough to work alongside.Today, my work shows up in a few different ways:• Folc Strategies LLC — data-driven community engagement, facilitation, and activation for development and placemaking projects across West Michigan and beyond.• Hammy Creative + Consulting — capacity-building support for small community organizations and small businesses through clear identity, communications, and simple systems that make their work easier and more effective.• Corridor work on Plainfield — supporting the North Quarter Corridor Improvement Authority as we shape and strengthen the Creston Corridor’s future.Across all of it, I’m at my best when I’m creating space for connection — and helping that connection grow into something real: a partnership, a clearer process, a shared vision, or a community that feels more like home.If you care about people, possibility, and building things that last, let’s talk.

   At Folc, I guide strategy and partnerships for community-driven initiatives that bridge neighborhoods, businesses, and local government. My responsibilities include- Facilitation & Engagement – Leading collaborative processes with the City of Grand Rapids through the Development With Us program, ensuring residents and stakeholders have a voice in future developments- Program & Event Management – Overseeing high-profile community events like Lights on Creston, where we coordinate sponsors, businesses, and neighborhood groups to create inclusive, memorable experiences- Strategic Partnerships – Building strong relationships with civic leaders, nonprofits, and local businesses to align goals and deliver shared impact- Creative Problem-Solving – Designing tools, frameworks, and processes that empower communities to navigate development and growth with clarity and equity.Our work at Folc is rooted in collaboration, transparency, and a belief that communities thrive when people are invited into the process.
