    Chief of Support Operation manages these three core units:Special Initiatives and ReportingThe Strategic Initiatives and Reporting Group performs three core functions.The first is quality control, ensuring that enforcement paperwork submitted by the squads accurately aligns with the data entered into our systems.The second function is data analytics, where we analyze and interpret data from different systems to produce reports that support management decision-making. We are also responsible for producing USB metrics for the Mayor’s Office.The third function involves managing USB projects related to new innovations. Looking ahead, future initiatives may include a Computer-Aided Dispatch system, self-defensive Tasers, and the deployment of computer tablets in patrol vehicles.Central Communications UnitCentral Communications plays a critical role in supporting field operations by ensuring the timely and accurate relay of information. Radio Operators are responsible for continuously gathering, assessing, prioritizing, and dispatching. They maintain an active channel activity log, document all incoming transmissions from field personnel, and record all emergency and priority calls to ensure complete and accurate operational records.Court Calendar UnitThe Court Calendar Group manages scheduling for both Criminal Court and Traffic Court, ensuring officers are properly notified and able to attend hearings. They also do quality control sending back Notices or summonses that need to be voided. The group also handles data entry for Notices of Violation and Universal Summonses, supporting the adjudication process.
