Principal liaison officer to CIPE’s major donors - the U.S. Congress, U.S. State Department, and USAID – regularly briefing key officials in these institutions on CIPE’s strategy and programmatic achievements around the globe. Speak on behalf of CIPE at international conferences on democracy, economic development and governance. Conduct outreach to international donor agencies, think tanks, academic institutions, and other development organizations with an interest in CIPE’s workSince September 2008, I have also served as CIPE’s Washington, D.C. based Afghanistan program officer, managing field office operations and programs for CIPE in Afghanistan and providing strategic and policy guidance for CIPE’s work in Afghanistan and South Asia generally. In this capacity, I was the senior project manager and editor for the 2011 National Business Agenda for Afghanistan, a report identifying major challenges in Afghan business climate and proposing specific policy reforms. Also was the senior project manager for ICPE\'s 2010 Afghan Business Survey, a quantitative business attitude survey of 738 Afghan business people across six provinces. As of December 2012, I have travelled to Afghanistan 10 times to oversee operations of our office and programs there as well as to meet with senior USG officials and Afghan counterparts there.
