   Managing three agile development teams supporting multiple applications including microservices, user interfaces and a data integration. Our core capability is to provide device health data and update services to call center, field technician or other front-end applications. These applications have geo-redundancy in open source cloud foundry running on a private cloud. As a manager I help prioritize the work of business enhancements, security/ privacy needs and other IT standards alignment with our limited capacity. My focus is really on employee engagement and career growth while keeping up with the needs and long term roadmap for our platforms.In order to align priorities with my team I collaborate on our application goals for the coming year. Then I work with individual team members to define their personal goals based on team & personal growth as as well working toward the application goals. When individual performance is not on-track I\'m willing to have those difficult conversations to first coach and second hold accountable if needed.While we are often focused on building new platforms or adding functionality I also prioritize work towards eliminating older platforms that no longer add value.
