Hello - I work with AmeriVet as the DVM Recruiter for the Midwest Region, and I LOVE my job! It allows me to apply my many years of veterinary experience to partner with DVM candidates to find the best opportunity for their personal and professional growth.I was a licensed veterinary technician (LVT) in the state of Kentucky for 27 years. I acted as lead technician for 14 years with a team supporting 4 boarded surgeons, Internal Medicine and Critical Care. I also understand the financial components of veterinary hospitals. I successfully managed a multi-specialty/ER hospital for 11 years. I speak the language of veterinary medicine based on my technician schooling and \"boots on the ground\" experience. My key strengths include excellent client service, communication, team member support, and organizational skills. I am skilled at cultivating a cohesive team to attain objectives and maintain a positive workplace culture. I have the ability to creatively solve problems in a goal-oriented manner. I like to think outside the box.In my role as a DVM recruiter, I have been able to match the needs of many veterinarians with our Amerivet hospitals in the Midwest. This is truly inspirational work for me! Veterinarian Medicine has provided me a rewarding career where I have worked alongside many individuals who have dedicated their lives to improving the lives of pets. By working with veterinarians to find the ideal position, I feel I am helping others to ensure our community pets continue to get the care they need.
