Gregg Azzopardi is a seasoned animation veteran with over 30 years of professional experience spanning the feature film, television, commercial, and video game industries. Beginning his career at Walt Disney Animation Studios, Gregg contributed to some of the most beloved animated classics, with screen credits as an animator on Lilo & Stitch, Mulan, Brother Bear, Pocahontas, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, and Tarzan.Expanding his expertise into the video game industry, Gregg worked on notable titles such as Star Wars Battlefront, Marvel Ultimate Alliance, and Call of Duty. His versatility and commitment to storytelling through animation have made him a respected figure in both traditional and digital mediums.As a co-founder of Project Firefly Animation Studios, Gregg led the charge in creating a full-service animation studio that delivered high-quality 2D and 3D animation, artwork for theatrical and video releases, television series, commercials, interactive media, children’s books, and educational products. Under his leadership, the studio served prestigious clients including The Walt Disney Company, Walt Disney Internet Group, American Greetings, Universal Studios Creative, and Universal Pictures, contributing to projects such as the film Curious George.For the past 17 years, Gregg has shared his passion for animation and storytelling as a Professor at the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD). Drawing on his rich background as a 2D and 3D character animator and studio co-founder, he has guided and mentored the next generation of animators. Through SCAD Pro classes, Gregg has collaborated with his top-selected students to produce original content for renowned clients, including Sesame Workshop, Adult Swim, Herschend Entertainment, and The Harlem Globetrotters.Gregg Azzopardi’s career is a testament to his dedication to the art of animation, his ability to adapt to evolving technologies, and his passion for nurturing new talent.
