With over 600 tools deployed, hundreds of faults found and new umbilical lines verified during installation, for many operators around the world C-Kore tools have become the de-facto standard for subsea testing. This achievement has been recognised with a Queen’s Award for Enterprise in the International Trade category, following on from the company\'s previous Innovation Queen\'s award.Alongside the well established Cable Monitor for testing insulation resistance (IR)+ continuity (CR), and the electrical Subsea TDR for precisely locating faults, the company continues to innovate and develop new products. A particularly proud achievement is the world\'s first stand-along and fully automated Subsea Optical TDR for proving the health of and locating faults on subsea fibre optic cables. C-Kore have also continued work on adding new capabilities to their Sensor Monitor, including interfaces for CAN sensors.C-Kore continues to be laser focused on improving customer subsea testing and results. This includes tools that are simple to use but with powerful capabilities and first-class customer support.

ABOUT GREG SMITH
Greg is at the heart of the C-Kore team delivering innovative subsea monitoring and fault-finding tools, including insulation resistance (IR), continuity (CR), TDR, subsea sensor, pressure and physical shock measurement products. He has a strong electronic engineering background and completed the original design of the C-Kore Cable Monitor before progressing to his current role as Operations Director. It’s an exciting time for C-Kore as the company’s seen widespread adoption of its tools based on the benefits delivered to customers, not least the substantial cost savings achievable from reduced vessel-time.C-Kore designs and manufactures innovative subsea tools to verify the health of subsea assets, such as umbilicals, which can be damaged during installation or on the seabed. Traditional measurement techniques are time consuming, expensive and provide unclear results. C-Kore replaces the need for slow downline or platform-led measurement with small, self-contained and automated test units which are much faster and more versatile than traditional solutions. Oil majors including BP, Shell and Total are already using the products.Greg is enthusiastic about solving industry problems and making them user-friendly and versatile. He is proud of the C-Kore Cable Monitor: “It’s been vital to keep C-Kore tools very easy to use while giving it the rich set of features our customers need.
