ABOUT GREG WRAXTON

As a strategic sourcing professional at JBT Marel working with 27 European Sites, I am responsible for implementing sourcing strategies to drive deflation while upholding quality standards, thereby providing the company with a competitive advantage in procuring materials and services. My role involves understanding, tracking, and forecasting key cost drivers and market factors on a global scale. I mentor business-level buyers to analyse their commodities in a similar manner.Maintaining and fostering healthy relationships with key suppliers, internal and external customers, and the business community is integral to my responsibilities. I perform \"Make vs. Buy\" analyses to support best-value manufacturing within the group, actively driving continuous improvement throughout the procurement process and serving as a champion of change.Collaborating closely with JBT Marel engineering teams, I review resource requirements to drive group savings initiatives. Reporting at group level on current and future savings initiatives, I own the program pipeline and ensure timely and accurate project delivery. In addition, I am involved in the development of new products, working closely with R&D and Engineering to identify and execute cost reduction opportunities (VAVE).My role requires periodic travel (20-30% of the time) both domestically and internationally, I undertake regular calls with suppliers and collaborate closely with our group-level category management teams, reporting on initiatives and progress.With over 15 years of experience in either manufacturing or engineering environments, I bring strong influencing, relationship-building, and negotiation skills to the table. My robust computer literacy, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and adept organizational abilities allow me to effectively manage workloads and prioritize tasks. An agile thinker, I have demonstrated effectiveness in both remote and local team environments.
