Coordinate and administer Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) following company and regulatory guidelines. Work with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers following EM-385. Ensure safety compliance with multiple sites during a project. KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:• Monitor company and contractor equipment and crew activities to ensure HSE policies and requirements are followed.• Lead weekly safety meetings. Review JSAs/AHAs for routine or project-specific tasks.• Provide annual OSHA required training, Conduct Medic First Aid CPR training, Medic First Aid instructor trainer, Rigger – Signalperson and Fall Protection Competent Person training classes.• Inspect project equipment upon receipt (Dredges, Barges, Tugs, Cranes, Dozers, Excavators, etc.)• Following an inspection of the above equipment, log deficiencies in Safety Deficiency Tracking Log.• Set-up project medical providers per company policy in advance of project startup.• Conduct accident investigations, root-cause analysis, and create “Lessons Learned” reports.
