I have enjoyed a career in the extremely dynamic and evolving field of Procurement and Supply Chain Management.The number of projects to work on is endless and the impact is immediately visible. Reducing cost and risk while increasing service levels, quality, and availability is the constant challenge that every Procurement professional is faced with. The ability to tackle each problem head on in a creative way while bringing the best out of the team is what keeps me going. The desire to keep up in this field led me to my CPSM certification from ISM and MBA in Supply Chain Management from Penn State.I have led teams that are small, large, local, and global managing Direct and Indirect 3rd party spend greater than $100 Million annually. I currently have accountability for all Procurement activity in the Platinum Group Metal Services (PGMS) strategic business unit at Johnson Matthey, a FTSE 100 company in the business of precious metal refining, chemical and catalyst production, and sustainable innovation serving a multitude of industries including automotive, aerospace, agrochem, pharmaceutical, and medical device.Some of my largest successes have been in improvements made around the following areas of spend: castings, machined and fabricated parts, MRO, chemicals, rotating equipment, professional services, facilities management, maintenance, packaging, and various other categories of direct and indirect purchases.
