ABOUT GREG SMITH

With more than 25 years of onshore/offshore experience in the electrical industry I have held a variety of roles in the industry from the position of Senior Rig Electrician maintaining a drilling jack up rigs complete electrical system to Working as EC & I Commissioning Engineer compiling and completing GOC documentationI have gained extensive experience in the maintenance, commissioning, inspection and installation of electrical systems too BS761 and IEC/ATEX standards. For the past 8 years I have been working offshore on various drilling Jack-up rigs, oil and gas platforms and FPSO’s in the North Sea and in international waters. With my latest experience and career preference consisting more of a maintenance bias I am still interested and approachable in Commissioning and Inspection Positions offshore. I am keen to further my education by studying for a HNC in Electrical Engineering in my own time.
