Currently teaching CSC 3707 - Secure Coding Design & Methodology; a course I developed for the Elon University computer sciences department. The objective is to teach students secure coding concepts using an insecure application environment. Topics discussed include: The OWASP top 10 (2021) Basic web application penetration testing techniques An SQL primer Basic remediation techniques for items in the a wasp top 10 including XSS, SQLi, CSRF, session fixation, command injection, poor cryptography, authentication bypass, and others.
