Develop and update University engineering design standards.Develop and update University construction contract standards.Evaluate and approve the selection of external engineering consultants.Review and approve contracts with external consultants.Review and approve contracts for construction work.Review final plans for code compliance, engineering function, and legal format.Perform special functions as requested by the Director of Facilities Planning & Development such as eBuilder Admin. Assisted and maintain a new Project Management, Accounting and Information System (PMAIS) for 3 of the University campuses (i.e. eBuilder). Created new processes and maintain them for consulting agreements, amendments, construction contracts, change orders and design and construction submission processes for tracking, recording and archiving documents.Review tenant projects at UM Research Park in St. Louis, MO, Discovery Park in Columbia, MO, and UM Technology Park in Fort Leonard Wood Army Base.Occasional project management services for campus engineering projects and system projects as requested. Typically, complex mechanical projects to support campus Project Manager(s) on the smaller campuses.In the spring and summer of 2020, developed guidance to the campuses on COVID prevention strategies to prepare for Fall classes. When ASHRAE released updated guidance in July of 2020, we were ahead of the game. My experience with the design and construction of BSL 3 facilities and introduction to the dangers of emerging zoonotic diseases were very helpful in arriving to similar solutions for existing facilities.
