About Greg Mollner

Greg Mollner is a veteran entrepreneur, business, and organizational leader with a diverse background of success in investment banking, media, and arts in for-profit and nonprofit sectors. Greg is the co-founder and board chair of Goal 17 Works, a 501 (c)3 nonprofit, and co-founder and CEO of Goal 17 Media. By producing TV series, their podcast Lead With We, and documentaries, Goal 17 is building awareness of and financing for purpose-led companies addressing today\'s environmental, social, and economic crises. Greg has raised over $600 million to fund his and other companies that benefit the common good. In 1985, he co-founded Heartland Group, a Seattle-based land investment firm that worked with city planners and developers to identify and acquire land to support \"responsible development,\" i.e, projects that valued the environment, jobs, and housing. Greg rekindled his love for Film as COO of ShadowCatcher Entertainment, a Seattle-based independent film production company. ShadowCatcher\'s film Smoke Signals won the 1998 Sundance Film Festival. In 2001, Greg and his wife, Allison, founded the investment advisory firm Vinton Street Partners to continue to support purpose-led companies. They assisted in structuring, funding, and managing investment funds for commercial real estate, technology, feature films and one of the first regional environmentally focused solid waste companies. 2002, Greg was elected to the nonprofit Seattle Theatre Group (STG) board to restructure $15M of private investor equity raised in 1992 to acquire the historic Paramount Theatre. The restructure resulted in the investors gifting their $15M investment to STG. During his 18 years on STGs board, Greg led several programs and raised over $15MM for Arts & Education programs. As Chair, he led STG\'s Racial Equity program. 2004, Greg and Allison co-founded the Good Neighbor Program (\"GNP\"). GNP has donated over of furniture, bedding, and electronics to community nonprofits. When Katrina hit New Orleans in 2005, GNP sent truckloads of furniture to furnish the Habitat for Humanity homes for the hurricane victims. Greg\'s nonprofit work includes raising capital that helped settle the 5-week Issaquah, WA, teacher\'s strike. He also helped a family-owned farm reposition its land away from commercial development into a community park. Greg received his Bachelor of Arts in Film from the University of Arizona. He and Allison have been married for over 43 years and live in Bellevue, WA. They have three extraordinary daughters and two \"perfect\" grandkids.
