Experienced Chief Finance Officer with over 20 years’ leadership across higher education, education charities, and complex multi-entity organisations. I combine deep financial expertise with strategic vision, governance strength, and a track record of enabling institutions to thrive in challenging environments. • Proven CFO in Higher Education – at Coventry University I led financial strategy, planning, and transformation for a major HEI, balancing sustainability with investment to support growth and international ambition. • Russell Group Experience – at the University of Birmingham I managed statutory reporting, capital programmes (£100m+ annually), subsidiary finances, and sector-leading approaches to TRAC and performance management. I also project-managed a £200m private placement issue to fund the University’s long-term capital strategy, gaining direct experience of large-scale financing and investor engagement. • Current Role – as CFO of the King Edward VI Foundation I lead group-wide financial strategy across independent and academy schools, endowed funds, and commercial operations, covering investments, capital planning, and governance. • Governance & Non-Executive Leadership – Trustee and Non-Executive Director with experience chairing Finance and Audit Committees in education and leisure, strengthening my external perspective and oversight capabilities.I am motivated by the challenge of steering organisations through complexity, ensuring financial resilience, and enabling long-term strategic ambitions.
