Jay Henges Enterprises incorporated in March 1932. In Kansas City we are the leading contractor for insulation, fireplaces and closet shelving. Today, Henges Insulation installs EcosTM fiberglass batts, Cellulose wall-spray and blown insulation, fiberglass sprayed in Spider fiber or Blown-in-Blanket system (BIBS), and both 2 lb. closed cell foam or ½ lb. open cell foam. Spray applications offer optimal thermal performance and help meet Green initiatives and Energy Star goals. As a matter of fact, we have specialists that consult, diagnose and verify structures that builders, designers and home-owners seek to achieve. Our exclusive Henges High TEC HomeTM is a trade mark program that is designed for these modern practices. In 2002, continuing the quest for better energy efficiency, we added zero clearance fireplaces to aid the dynamics of a structures comfort, performance and durability. We’re a full service fireplace provide, including chimney inspections and fireplace rebuilds. In 2010 Henges strives to help people meet the growing desire for lower total home ownership costs. The divisions in St. Louis are Henges Interiors, insulation, flooring, closet shelving and the Porta-King building division. The Porta-King operation began 1969 and produces partitions, preassembled buildings and a curtain-wall system for partitions and buildings that are too large to ship assembled. In 1990, the Montgomery City plant went into full production and added Durasteel preassembled buildings. Today, we supply many of the US Government security booths as well as complete industrial and commercial projects nationwide.Our business is extremely competitive.
